1. Trummelbach Falls




Trummelbach falls are the series of 10 waterfalls which occur from the inside of the mountains. Such an impressive waterfall drains from the nearby ice glaciers which are active throughout the year. Its sounds and power of water rushing through the mountain is really a unique experience.

 

2. Staubbach Falls

 


Staubbach Falls is another famous waterfall located just west of Lauterbrunnen in Bernese Highlands. Waterfall drops 297 meters from the hanging valley, cascading down the cliff above Lauterbrunnen. 4. Grosse Scheidegg Waterfalls

5. Alter Waterfall

Situated near the main entrance of Lauterbrunnen, Alter Waterfall is less and less popular in Lauterbrunnen and Switzerland too. How to Get There to Lauterbrunnen

Lauterbrunnen is a place well connected by the multiple destinations, however travellers can visit either through public transportations, Car or through Airlines. 

 

1. Public Transport

Good number of public transportations like trains or buses are available to reach Lauterbrunnen. Blue and Yellow Bernese Oberland Railways (BOB) trains from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen are available, which usually takes 20 minutes to reach. If you get on the back of the train, you will be fortunate to explore Grindelwald. 

 

2. Car

If you take a car from Interaken to Lauterbrunnen, usually it will take 20 to 30 minutes to reach. It depends on the place where you started and season. During winter, snow covered roads and black ice makes your journey delay.

 

3. Parking

Multi storey car park directly below Luterbrunnen station, where you can use the car at the church in Lauterbrunnen for free and free of charge ski buses runs between in the villages, especially during winter.

Lauterbrunnen is a more beautiful and charming destination to explore its real beauty only when the winter season enters. Winter temperature (December to February) here can be quite cold with the average temperature of -5 to 5.
