Things to Do in Uluwatu Beach
1. Visit Uluwatu Temple
Often called “Pura Luhur Uluwatu”, Bali’s most dramatic sea temple
perched on the cliff. The temple is a great spot to see sunset views and
traditional Keck fire and dance performance in the evening. Along with enjoying
its architecture, be mindful of dress sense and temple rules. Be aware of
resident monkeys, and they can snatch your items.
2. Surfing
Uluwatu Beach is a great spot for surfing in Asia, thanks to famous
breaks like Padang Padang, Bingin, Uluwatu. These breaks are perfect for
surfing and even for beignets too. Rent a surfing board or book your surfing
lesson, if you’re a complete beginner and want to learn surfing for a better
experience.
3. Enjoy your Time at Single Fin/ Cliff Bars
Single Fin is a popular cliffside bar in Uluwatu offers popular organic
energy snacks, California style dishes, pizzas and smoothie bowls.
Located on the cliff above the waves at Suluban Beach, Pecatu, where guests can
expect multi level wooden deck seating facilities which is straight into the
cliffside and offers a perfect view of the ocean, evening live music and
cocktails. Open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wednesday and Sunday guests
can enjoy party nights.
Cliff Bars are another popular place to try snacks, carbohydrates and
proteins at a limited quantity. Try rolled oats, plant based soy protein and
sweeteners like brown rice syrup.
4. Easy Access to Nearby Attractions
Uluwatu Beach, Bali even has close access to several nearby attractions.
Visitors easily cover places like Padang Padang Beach or Suluban beach; several
stairways lead to these beaches.
Best Time to Visit
Visiting Uluwatu Beach of Bali is a puzzling task to major backpackers,
but we recommend visiting during “Dry Season”. Dry season starts from April to
October, when beaches witness sunnier days and better surf consistencies on the
west coast.
However, during the dry season you might feel a heavy sunny feel from
12:00 AM to 3:00 PM. So, try to do your activities early in the morning or late
afternoon. Weekdays are quieter than weekends and holidays.

Note: if you wish quieter morning and easy access to the beach, choose
accommodation close to the cliff with shuttle or staircase access.
How to Get There and Around?
Location- Southern tip of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, about 45 to 60 minutes
from Kuta/Denpasar, depending on your traffic.
Transport- Rent a scooter (most common and convenient option, if you
love to ride or budget conscious). Or choose taxi/ride apps for more options.
Be aware about roads, some where you may feel narrow and steep.
Parking/Entrances- Clifftop areas and the temple have entrance fee,
parking is usually available.
What to Eat?
Choose to eat fresh seafood and local Balinese dishes at nearby Warungs.
International cafe culture has also grown. Nightlife offers more laid back and
live music than clubbing.
