3. Explore Tanah Lot Temple
Such an iconic sea temple perched on a rocky outcrop perfectly fit for its unique offshore settings. Under Bali culture, Tanah Lot means ‘Land in the Sea’. According to Bali mythology, Dang Hyang Nirtha was known as a man of mighty supper power. One day he moves the whole rock island to the sea and builds such a massive and beautiful temple and he calls it a ‘Tanah Lot’. Later entire villages joined to follow his beliefs.
