Yes, watching the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala National Park is the highest point in Maui. Haleakala itself is a “House of the Sun” meaning, where sunrise and even subset pass over the nearest volcanic crater, considered as the highest point in Hawaiian island. During sunrise the sky turns from twilight to crimson and to burnt orange color is a really mind blowing thing to watch. Haleakala National Park is home to many world endangered species which are very different to any other parts of the world, even national parks. Park spans 30,000 acres of land and includes around 850 different species of plants which have special features like yearly bloom and live to 90 years. “Nene”, a Hawaiian state bird is more in number here along with the park's frogs, fish, deer, axis deer and monk seals.

If you take the Zip line during your Haleakala National Park sunrise tour, you are fortunate to see some of the rarest birds and plants. Its open air zip line passes over 90 foot drops and passes through eucalyptus trees and swinging bridges. This journey showcases more than 8,000 native flora and fauna.
