Clay Tunnel or Dalat’s Clay Tunnel is a series of basalt and dark red clay structures which shows us the milestones of the Dalats past and present histories. Once you enter, visitors spot a massive dragon at the entrance of the roofless trench. Along with that there are other attractions like elephants, giraffes, monkeys, crocodiles and snakes are the most prominent animals. Tunnel is also followed by the trains, gardens, churches and vehicles. 

 

5. Take a Hike in Elephant Falls



Third largest waterfall in Lam Dong Province, located in Nam Ban Town and just 25 km away from Dalat city. Name is after the rock they cascades from, which resembles the head of an elephant. Falls offer many immerse scenic views of the surrounding landscapes, Nam Ha Village views and stunning vistas. Visiting Elephant falls visitors need to pay 20,000 VND and it is well connected to the main town of Da Lat.

 

How to Get to Dalat, Vietnam

Dalat is a city in Vietnam located in south central highland where visitors feel less humidity and coastal feelings. 1. By Air 

The Lieng Khuong International Airport’ is the nearest airport to Dalat. From Hanoi to Dalalt is just a 1 hour journey and from Ho Chi Minh City to Dalalt is just a 45 minutes journey. 

 

2. By Rail

The cheapest form of transportation to reach Dalalt city is rail. Railway stations are designed by the French colonists, situated 1500 meters above sea level. Total 84 km offers some of the best city views and nearby landscapes. 

 

3. By Road 

Relatively longer mode of reaching Dalalt city by taking a local bus or private taxi from neighbouring cities. The road journey from Ho Chi Minh is around 7 hours and 4 hours from Nha Trang. Visitors can also book buses and taxis during peak season 2 days prior in advance.
