1.  Explore the Past in Nyhavn

 


Nyhavn is a 17th century old district that offers more picture square waterfront including ancient buildings, historic ships and lively atmospheres. Ranked as top and famous destination in Copenhagen, originally built as a commercial port where ships all over the world come and settle. 

But later in a period of time it shifted from the shipyard to more beautiful old houses and restaurants. Under that, House number 20 belongs to the famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen who lived in 1835, when he published his first volume of fairy tales. 2. Visit Tivoli Gardens

 


Often known as the second oldest amusement parks in the world, Tivoli Gardens located in the heart of the Copenhagen city. From 1843 Tivoli provides enchanting and more tranquillity experiences to their visitors from its theatre performances, gardens, thrilling rides, 30 different restaurants and cuisines options, entertainment options including live performances and stunning light displays at night. Tivoli is the 5th most visited amusement park in Europe, after Disneyland, Walt Disney and Europa Park

 

3. Get Inspiration from the Little Mermaid Statue

 


The Little Mermaid Statue is a bronze sculpture by Edvard Eriksen inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale. Most iconic statue sits in the harbour and welcomes every visitor to indulge its lovely surroundings, offshore with long Langelinie Park and picturesque background settings. Walking along the harborside is the most memorable and rewarding experience here, which exhibits the city's iconic motif. Sculpted in 1913, stands as the symbol of “Love”.

 

4. Enjoy the Perfect View from the Christiansborg Palace

 


Copenhagen is a city full of beautiful architectural buildings and canals including Christiansborg Palace. Such a stunning palace located on the islet of Slotsholmen in Central Copenhagen. Opened in 1848, the majority of sculptures and arts are inspired by Rome and ancient classical mythology and sculptures.  

 

6. Discover Freetown Christiania’s Beauty

 


Freetown Christiania is a popular street known for art, music, architecture and artists. 7. Take a Photo at Gefion Fountain and Kastellet
 



Gefion Fountain is a Langelinie Park, containing Norse goddess Gefion and her oxen, imposing creation that overlooking the St. Alban’s Church. According to ancient stories, Gefion is a goddess who ploughed the island of Zealand out of Sweden. However, it is considered as the largest monument in the entire Copenhagen.

Kastellet, is a star shaped fortress where visitors freely take leisurely stroll amidst the grounds and explore its ancient buildings and windmill. Built in the 1600s, in order to protect the entire city from the invasions. 

 

Best Time to Visit Copenhagen

Spring Season (April to May) or Early Summer (June to August) are the ideal season to visit Copenhagen. During summer visitors are going to witness more warm weather and a number of popular attractions, moreover they can feel less crowds during summer. Music festivals, art exhibitions, music and dance events, cuisines, street art festivals, live music venues and sidewalks and cafes spill are more common during summer.

Spring season brings us to enjoy cities' natural settings and help to take perfect photography of the destinations. Less crowded than summer, the place holds longer days, mild weather and offers live blooming flowers.
